Superstars’ Choice Medley 2026
This year, we are delighted to launch our first ever Sing Out Loud Superstars’ Choice Medley, giving pupils a direct say in choosing some of the music they will perform on stage at the National Opera House this November.
The selection process will take place in two stages.
Stage 1: Song Suggestions From Pupils
The first stage is open to any primary school pupil, whether their school is registered for Sing Out Loud or not. Pupils are invited to submit their 3 favourite songs using our Superstars’ Choice Google Form: https://tinyurl.com/superstarschoice
This form does not ask for the pupil’s name, school name, email address or any other identifying information.
Pupils will only be asked to select their current class year and enter their 3 song suggestions.
Voting will open this week and will be promoted across our Sing Out Loud social media platforms, as well as through schools that have already registered for Sing Out Loud 2026.
The first stage will close on Thursday 18th June 2026, and once the first closes, the most popular and suitable song suggestions will be reviewed and brought together into a final shortlist.
Stage 2: Registered School Vote
Any school that has registered for Sing Out Loud 2026 on or before Friday 19th June 2026 will then be invited to vote from the final shortlist. This will be sent on Monday 22nd June 2026.
Each registered school will have the opportunity to choose their top 3 songs from the shortlisted options.
These results will decide the final songs that will make up our 2026 Superstars’ Choice Medley.
Each registered school will have until the summer holidays to cast their vote. A further form will be sent closer to the time, allowing each school to choose their top 3 songs from the final shortlist.
How you decide on your school’s top 3 songs is completely up to you. You may wish to ask all pupils, complete a class vote, involve your school choir, or choose another approach that works best for your school, just have some FUN with it as this will be your medley!
The chosen songs will then be arranged and recorded over the summer, ready to be included in the Sing Out Loud 2026 Teachers Pack, which will be issued to schools in September.
We are really excited about this new addition to Sing Out Loud. Our event has always been about giving children a voice, so it feels only right that pupils should help choose some of the songs they will sing together on stage.
